Read below the story highlighting the importance of Open-mindedness.
An old man and his 25-year-old son sat together on a train. As the train prepared to depart, the son was filled with excitement and curiosity. Sitting by the window, he reached out his hand to feel the passing air. With joy, he exclaimed, “Look, Papa, all the trees are moving behind us!” The old man smiled, appreciating his son’s enthusiasm.
There was a couple sitting nearby, overhearing the conversations between the father and son. They found it a bit strange to see a grown man behaving like a child. Suddenly, the young man shouted once more, “Papa, look at the pond and the animals! The clouds are moving along with the train!” The couple observed the young man with a mix of embarrassment and curiosity.
As the rain started to fall, a few drops touched the young man’s hand, bringing him even more joy. He closed his eyes and exclaimed, “Papa, it’s raining! The water is touching me! Look, Papa!” Unable to contain themselves any longer, the couple turned to the old man and asked, “Why don’t you take your son to see a doctor and get him treated?”
The old man replied, “Actually, we just came from the hospital. Today, my son gained his eyesight for the first time in his life.”
Moral: “Don’t draw conclusions until you know all the facts”.
